We don’t make claims to win sales or overstate our impact — we focus on measurable actions, continuous improvement, and honest reporting. Protecting the planet matters more to us than greenwashing, and we are committed to doing the right thing in a transparent and truthful way.

Trusted Ingredients

The safety and quality of our products is our top priority. We source all ingredients from reputable suppliers, prioritising local sources wherever possible, and require that every supplier meets our strict criteria and holds recognised third-party accreditation (GFSI).

ZERO WASTE TO LANDFILL

At Sandwich King, we are committed to keeping waste to a minimum wherever possible. Where waste is unavoidable, it is collected by a specialist contractor, diverted from landfill, and used to generate energy. In the last 12 months alone, our waste recovery efforts have been equivalent to planting 64 trees, taking 7 cars off the road, and powering 11 homes.

CARBON
FOOTPRINT

We are committed to reducing our own carbon footprint as well as that of our supply chain. All of our delivery vans are fully compliant with Euro 6 emissions standards, and our delivery routes are carefully pre-calculated to minimise environmental impact. Wherever possible, we source from local suppliers to further reduce transport emissions and support regional businesses.

PLASTIC-FREE
PACKAGING

Our goal is for all of our packaging to be 100% plastic-free by spring 2026. In 2020, 20% of our packaging was cardboard or plastic-free, and by 2023 this had increased to 53%. We continue to explore new and improved packaging solutions, and all of our current packaging is made from recycled materials and is widely recyclable, including film and plastic.

RENEWABLE ENERGY

We continue to work tirelessly to reduce our energy usage. We have recently installed solar panels, saving approximately 13 tonnes of COâ‚‚ per year, and our energy supplier operates on 100% renewable energy. In addition, sensor-controlled LED lighting has been installed throughout our facilities to further improve efficiency.

The SK wedge Skillet is designed with sustainability in mind. It is made from 100% FSC-certified recyclable cardboard, sourced from responsibly managed forests, and features a low-micron plastic window to minimise material use. When disposed of correctly, the packaging is fully recyclable, helping to reduce environmental impact while maintaining product visibility and quality.
